Job Description

The R&D department needs to add 3 – 5 R&D Engineers. The goal of this team is to devise, fabricate, test, and implement the next generation of optoelectronic devices. This includes, but is not limited to, photonic sensors (biological, chemical, and biometric sensors) and transistors. The technical challenges involve developing both materials and process techniques for production and prototyping.

Qualifications

Successful team members should have 1 - 3 years experience, with demonstrated competency, in two or more of the following areas:

  • Strong background in semiconductor physics
  • CNT, organic, inorganic (nanomaterial) semiconductors
  • device structures and electrical modeling
  • Nano and Micro fabrication techniques
  • Lab experience with lithography systems, AFM, Raman
  • Chemical etching
  • Materials self-assembly, monolayers
  • Materials functionalization and deposition
  • Working knowledge of polymer chemistry
  • Carrier transport through molecules and interfaces
  • Transistor design
  • Ballistic transport

All candidates should also have the following:

  • Team-oriented, highly motivated, able to work well under pressure
  • Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)

  • Education Level

    MSEE required, PhD a plus
