Job Description

NANOIDENT Biometrics is looking for an engineer to design photodetector IC and analog electronic blocks for the next generation of biometric sensors. Primary responsibilities include defining specifications for the analog blocks or analog circuits/systems, based on end-product specifications; and designing these analog blocks (architecture, modeling, best/worst-case simulation, layout, validation, testability) as part of a project team. This person will also perform design risk analysis, lead design reviews, write design reports according to standard design process, and support electrical and optoelectronic characterization and debug of the finished devices.

Additional responsibilities include participating in feasibility studies for new projects; anticipating future product specifications and proposing the development of new analog blocks or test structures, to build a body of proven IP for subsequent designs; specifying and recommending simulation and modeling tools; revising simulation parameters from measurement results when necessary; and contributing to NANOIDENT’s global body of knowledge by providing feedback on the design process, developing Intellectual Property, and performing internal training.

Qualifications

Successful team members should have more than 3 years experience, with demonstrated competency, in the following areas:

• Analog electronic design- preferably including experience designing image sensors
• Background in semiconductor physics
• Knowledge of electronics design tools and design process
• Some experience with board-level design would be a plus

• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
