Job Description

NANOIDENT Biometrics is looking for an electrical/ electro-optical characterization engineer to provide prototype and statistical characterization results for image sensor and IP blocks, as we develop the next generation of biometric sensors. Primary responsibilities include specifying, operating and validating characterization tools; performing debug and electrical/ optoelectronic characterizations and statistical measurements; analyzing and synthesizing measurement results; and providing feedback and improvement proposals to IC or IP block design engineers.

This person will also perform specific urgent measurements to support customer, hotline and field requests, will write reports according to company standards, and will contribute to NANOIDENT’s global body of knowledge by providing feedback on the design process, developing Intellectual Property, and performing internal training.

Qualifications

Successful team members should have at least 5 years experience, with demonstrated competency, in the following areas:

  • Physical and low level electronic measurements and methodologies (measurement techniques)
  • Knowledge of automatic/ statistical measurement and analysis tools (LabVIEW or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of optics and optical measurements
  • Knowledge of the PC environment for data acquisition
  • Some experience in semiconductor physics and image sensor characterization would be a plus

All candidates should also have the following qualities:

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize; open-minded
  • Professional and process-oriented
  • Team-oriented, highly motivated, able to work well under pressure
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Education Level

MSEE or equivalent
