Environmental Responsibility

Sustainable Development means to have a share in environmental protection. We explicitly commit ourselves to a precautionary attitude towards the environment, and we consider this basic value to be just as important as economic and social interests.

Our attitude towards the environment is proactive. We regularly analyze our product cycles concerning environmental compatibility. From the earliest stages of product planning we take into account the environmental impact in the design. We have succeeded in reducing chemical substances to a minimal amount in comparison to the conventional semiconductor industry.

Our requirements concerning environmental activities are as follows: Selection and use of auxiliary substances must comply with environmental regulations; waste materials, effluents, and emissions have to be avoided or reduced as much as possible. No harmful exhaust fumes are generated during production.

In regular trainings we cultivate environmental awareness. Persons involved in the processes discuss critically, improve, and expand our waste management system if necessary. Periodically we evaluate the chemical substances used and analyze possible reduction of solvents. Results of these inquiries are applied to the production processes immediately.

Twice a month our legal advisor updates us regarding all laws relevant to our business.
