The next generation chip factory:
NANOIDENT ORGANIC FAB

The NANOIDENT ORGANIC FAB (OFAB), the world's first factory for printed semiconductor-based optoelectronic sensor devices, provides high-volume production services for the NANOIDENT Group of Companies. In an additive process, layers of liquid nanomaterials are deposited using state-of-the-art printing techniques to produce printed semiconductor devices. These new materials and techniques enable new, innovative solutions that were previously cost-prohibitive or simply not able to be created due to the physical constraints of traditional silicon technology. Moreover, expensive masks, wasted material, and dangerous acids used for etching are not needed with printed electronics. Toxic materials are not used in the OFAB, making it a green production process.

The process is extremely fast. Where traditional silicon chip manufacturing can take several weeks or months, the OFAB can complete the entire process in hours or days, depending on the application. Prototypes and volume production can be run on the same production equipment, allowing for highly customized devices. Production capacity can easily be scaled as needed by adding more equipment.
